Seeking an experienced Design Release Engineer (DRE) to support the design, development, validation, and release of automotive exterior lighting systems including headlamps, taillamps, CHMSL, fog lamps, and license plate lamps
.
- Lead design and release activities for exterior lighting components.
- Develop and review lighting CAD models using CATIA V5, 3DX, and Teamcenter
. - Perform optical engineering and design-for-manufacturing activities.
- Conduct GD&T reviews, packaging studies, and design validation.
- Create DFMEA, DVP&R, SCCAF, Boundary Diagrams, and P-Diagrams.
- Perform root cause analysis using 8D and 5 Why methodologies.
- Collaborate with suppliers, purchasing, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams.
- Support sourcing, testing, launch, and production activities.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in automotive lighting design, development, or release engineering.
- Experience with CATIA, Teamcenter, and CAD modeling
. - Knowledge of optical engineering, injection molding, and manufacturing processes
. - Hands‑on laboratory testing and troubleshooting experience.
