What you’ll be able to do:

Core MBSE Engineer - positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, Michigan). Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the aforementioned worksite. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance from the worksite.

Develop and deploy Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and methods globally at Ford within the Global Model-Based. Design (MBD)/MBSE Core Department. Develop and deploy MBSE tools and methods for Virtual Vehicle Verification. Develop training materials to provide to the user community. Develop and evaluate the best MBD/MBSE processes, methods, and tools. Deploy globally to the MBD/MBSE modeling and simulation community. Develop and maintain documentation and videos for MBSE tools and methods.

Support other Core MBSE work by developing and improving core MBSE methods and processes as well as evaluate and develop new MBSE tools from various vendors. Utilize tools and technologies that include but is not limited to: MATLAB/Simulink; scripting MBSE tools; GUI programming;
Git;
Github;
Tortoise Git;
Carmaker;
Jenkins; C/C#; and REST API. TDevelop/maintain documentation/videos for MBSE tools and methods. Provide training and support to MBSE community on MBSE tools and methods. Support other Core MBSE work including: various work to develop/improve core MBSE methods and processes; evaluate and develop new MBSE tools from various vendors.

You'll have...

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Computer Science or a related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. 3 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:
1. MATLAB/Simulink scripting skills to automate creation of various modeling artifacts in Simulink.
2. Develop and deploy MBSE tools and methods to efficiently simulate large automotive vehicle/system models.
3. User interfaces development using MATLAB App Designer and Python. 1 year of experience with each of the following skills is required:
1. Create MBD/MBSE Model for requirements validation and code generation.
2. Create Car Maker vehicle/plant models, integration with Simulink, and test scenarios.
3. Using Jenkins or Github action to set-up automated CI/CD pipeline.
