Position: Membership Coordinator (On Site at Delta College Michigan

Overview

Membership Coordinator (On Site) – University Center, MI. Full‑time position with a starting salary of $16.68 – $18.51 per hour, commensurate with qualifications and experience. The coordinator will support the broadcasting division by managing monetary gifts and ensuring accurate financial records and reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Receive, record and accurately track monetary gifts from the private sector, including donations from organizations, businesses, foundations and individuals.
  • Enter, process and reconcile daily TV and/or radio donor pledges and donations into the Raiser's Edge membership database system, covering checks, cash, credit card transactions, direct debits, stock gifts, matching gifts and monthly charges.
  • Process and balance all donations processed in Raiser's Edge or Luminate Online.
  • Maintain member files within Raiser's Edge and create new broadcasting fund codes as needed.
  • Manage credit card processing, including monthly sustainer charges, application of payments to open pledges, handling declined credit card payments (donor contact for new numbers or dates), and processing refunds through Raiser's Edge and Colleague.
  • Ensure accurate reconciliation of gifts between all public broadcasting funds within Raiser's Edge.
  • Assist in the audit integrity process by balancing monthly reports between Raiser's Edge and the College's Colleague system and interfacing with the Finance Department for record keeping.
  • Print and mail pledge reminders, acknowledgements, thank‑you letters, installments, and monthly renewal letters.
  • Enter billing information for underwriting and tower rental clients and print and mail monthly billing invoices.
  • Enter payroll deduction gifts into Raiser's Edge after receiving donor lists from the College's Finance or Payroll department.
  • Retrieve data from Raiser's Edge and/or Luminate Online for specific reports related to TV and radio donations.
  • Assist with direct mail and telemarketing campaigns, membership events, pledge drives, and station fundraising events.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree in accounting, finance, or business.
  • Minimum of one year of previous database and/or accounting experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in bookkeeping and financial record keeping.
  • Proficiency in database computer systems and strong computer skills in word processing and spreadsheets.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and strong organizational skills.
  • Experience with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge software (considered an asset).
  • Prior experience working in a non‑profit environment (considered an asset).
  • Prior experience with financial deposits (considered an asset).
