  • Review indirect tax returns (sales/use, gross receipts, property tax) for completeness and accuracy.
  • Support OECD Pillar II and public country-by-country reporting.
  • Tax Provision Technical Review and Support: review ASC 740 quarterly and annual tax provision calculations, including deferred tax expense, rate reconciliation, and footnote disclosures.

  • Coordinate with accounting to prepare tax-related disclosures for SEC reporting (10-K/10-Q).
  • Coordinate with external auditors to respond to information requests and technical questions.
  • Tax Planning and Strategic Support: research and analyze tax matters, provide tax advice, and support planning initiatives, regulatory guidance, and legislative changes.
  • Support M&A tax diligence, integration planning, and post-acquisition compliance including purchase price allocation and deferred tax analysis.
  • Perform scenario modeling and prepare presentations for tax team and stakeholders.
  • Manage audits and notices, defend Kelly’s tax positions, and correspond with tax authorities.
  • Process Management: manage tax compliance calendar and workflow with internal teams and external providers; identify and lead process improvements, automation, and efficiency initiatives; support tax technology projects including system implementations and AI tool integration (Workday and tax software platforms).
Knowledge, Skills, and Experiences
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive corporate tax experience in public accounting and/or industry.
  • Expertise in U.S. federal and state income tax compliance; familiarity with international compliance (e.g., Form 5471, foreign tax credits).
  • Strong working knowledge of ASC 740 and financial statement disclosures.
  • Solid collaboration and communication skills with cross-functional teams and external service providers.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills for complex tax issues and risk mitigation.
  • Proficiency with tax and financial systems (ERP, Corptax, One Source, Bloomberg Tax) and data analytics tools, including AI applications for tax research, reporting, and analysis.
  • Exposure to indirect tax matters (sales/use, gross receipts, property tax) is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA and/or Masters in Tax preferred but not required.
