Member Service Representative
Turn Everyday Transactions Into Meaningful Member Relationships.
$18.00–$22.00/hour | Full-Time | In-Branch
At Chief Financial Credit Union, working in a branch is about more than completing transactions.
It’s about creating a welcoming experience and helping members feel confident about their finances.
A member may stop in to make a deposit, open an account, ask about a loan payment, or get help using a digital service. Sometimes they know exactly what they need. Other times, they need someone who will listen, ask the right questions, and guide them toward the best solution.
That’s where you come in.
As a Member Service Representative I, you’ll be one of the first people our members see and someone they can count on for accurate transactions, helpful answers, and professional service. You’ll assist members in the branch and by phone, open and maintain accounts, and introduce products and services that can make managing their finances easier.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys helping people, takes pride in getting the details right, and understands the importance of creating a positive member experience.
An In-Branch RoleThis is an in-person role where you’ll work alongside your team and assist members face-to-face and by phone. Being present in the branch allows you to build relationships with members, learn from experienced teammates, and develop a strong understanding of Chief’s products, systems, and service expectations.
More Than a PaycheckWe know your benefits matter, too. Chief Financial Credit Union offers a competitive benefits package designed to support you and your family, including:
- Medical insurance — Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and BCN HMO options with a $500 deductible
- Employer contribution toward medical, dental, and vision premiums
- Insurance waiver rebate for eligible employees who do not need medical coverage through Chief
- 401(k) employer contribution
- $50,000 in employer-paid life insurance
- Employer-paid Short-Term Disability (STD) and Long-Term Disability (LTD) coverage
- Paid holidays
- Generous vacation and PTO
- Tuition reimbursement program after one year of employment (qualifying terms apply)
In this role, you’ll help members with their everyday financial needs while creating an experience that feels personal, professional, and welcoming. You will:
- Serve members in the branch, by telephone, and through other assigned service channels.
- Process deposits, withdrawals, payments, transfers, and other financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Open, close, and maintain consumer accounts in accordance with Credit Union procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Answer routine account questions and help members resolve service concerns within your level of authority.
- Listen beyond the initial request to understand what the member may need and recommend appropriate products, services, and digital solutions.
- Educate members about account features, online and mobile banking tools, and other resources that can make managing their finances easier.
- Balance your cash drawer and complete end-of-day procedures accurately and on time.
- Protect member accounts and information by following verification, security, confidentiality, fraud-prevention, and internal‑control procedures.
- Maintain accurate member records, reports, logs, and transaction documentation.
- Recognize when a request or concern requires additional review and recognize it appropriately.
- Respond promptly and professionally to members, coworkers, internal partners, and vendors.
- Help maintain an organized, professional, and welcoming branch environment.
- Build your knowledge of Credit Union products, services, systems, policies, and procedures.
