Position: Polysomnographic Technologist – Full Time Night shift.
Location: Care Center, Dearborn – 18100 Oakwood Blvd.
Scope of WorkA Polysomnographic Technologist works under general supervision of the Medical Director and other supervisors to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders, which may involve polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services, and patient care and education. The technologist may also perform duties defined for a Polysomnographic Technician and provide supervision of other staff.
Qualifications- Formal training in a polysomnography program, or enrollment in a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or a Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) program with a polysomnography option, or completion of the A‑STEP online Self‑Study Modules.
- For non‑registered technologists and technicians, completion of A‑STEP online Self‑Study Modules within two years of enrollment.
- All technical staff must earn a minimum of 10 hours per year (averaged over three years) of sleep‑related continuing education credits.
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
- 1 year of relevant experience (1–3 years preferred).
- Certification as a Certified Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT or CPSGT) or equivalent, if required.
- Certification as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) enrollment upon hire, if required.
- Certification as a Registered Sleep Technologist (ABSM) upon hire, if required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA or ARC, upon hire, if required.

Employment Type
– Full time. Shift – Night (6:00 pm to 6:00 am). Weekly Scheduled Hours – 40. Days worked – Variable. Weekend – N/A.
