With 632 beds, Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital is a major teaching and research hospital and home to five residency programs and a cardiology fellowship in partnership with Wayne State University School of Medicine. Corewell Health Dearborn Hospital is verified as a Level II trauma center and accredited by the Joint Commission as a primary stroke center.

The hospital is also known for clinical excellence and innovation in the fields of orthopedics, neuroscience, women’s health, heart and vascular and cancer care.

• Perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations consisting of:
  Two-dimensional imaging, spectral and color flow Doppler, m-mode; trans esophageal; exercise and pharmacologic echocardiograms; saline and left ventricular opacification studies on adult patients.
• Instruction of medical personnel in technical performance, clinical application, and cardiac pathology as it pertains to cardiac ultrasound.
• May act as a mentor/preceptor for other Ultrasonographers and/or students.

• associate's degree or equivalent Graduate of Diagnostic Ultrasound Program or equivalent. Minimal as gained at student level.
• CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required
• Upon Hire required Or CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross
• CRT-Sonographer (S) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
• EXCLUDE Cardiac 1 Year required
• CRT-Breast Sonographer (BS) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography EXCLUDES Cardiac, General, Vascular 1 Year required
• CRT-Abdomen (AB) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography EXCLUDES Cardiac EXCLUDES Vascular 1 Year required
• Or CRT-Ob/Gyn (OB) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography EXCLUDES Cardiac EXCLUDES Vascular 1 Year required
• Or CRT-Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, Registered (RDCS) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Cardiac 1 Year required
