Hourly rate: $20.00 - $23.00

Job Purpose

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented culinary professional to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing high-quality food while maintaining exceptional cleanliness, safety, and guest service standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare food items in accordance with production requirements, standard recipes, and brand standards to ensure consistency and guest satisfaction
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment in compliance with health regulations
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of all food and supplies
  • Inspect ingredients to ensure only the highest quality standards are met
  • Monitor portion control and maintain consistency in food preparation
  • Operate kitchen equipment including ovens, stoves, slicers, steamers, and more
  • Prepare daily requisitions for food and supplies
  • Report maintenance issues promptly
  • Participate in inventory, planning, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with kitchen management and other departments
  • Provide warm, knowledgeable service to enhance the guest experience
  • Address guest concerns proactively and professionally
  • Maintain a positive, respectful, and team-oriented attitude
  • Communicate effectively across departments
  • Support team members and assist other departments when needed
  • Follow all company policies, SOPs, and safety procedures
  • Maintain knowledge of emergency protocols and security practices
  • Handle equipment and materials safely and responsibly
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with hotel brands such as Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or Hyatt preferred
  • Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and kitchen operations
  • Strong communication and basic math skills
  • Ability to follow recipes and demonstrate culinary techniques
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in varying temperatures (kitchens, freezers)
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and pushing equipment up to 250 lbs
  • Skilled in handling kitchen tools and equipment safely
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, high‑noise environment
