Annual salary range: $55,000.00 - $63,000.00
Job Purpose:
To lead and manage all kitchen operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality food in a safe, sanitary, and cost-effective manner while meeting brand standards and exceeding guest expectations.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School diploma /Secondary qualification or equivalent.
- Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham or Hyatt processes and standards.
Responsibilities:
- Manage food and labor costs within approved budget
Oversee daily kitchen operations, food preparation, and presentation
- Lead, train, and develop kitchen team members
- Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and hygiene
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs and food safety regulations
- Plan menus and recommend improvements to increase profitability
- Coordinate with catering and events teams to execute functions successfully
- Monitor inventory, purchasing, and proper food storage
- Handle guest feedback and ensure excellent guest satisfaction
This job requires the ability to perform the following:
- Ability to work flexible hours (including weekends and holidays)
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong problem-solving and multitasking skills
- Passion for food, service, and team leadership
Other:
- Being passionate about people and service.
- Strong communication skills are essential when interacting with guests and employees.
- Reading and writing abilities are used often when completing paperwork, logging issues/complaints/requests/ information updates, etc.
- Basic math skills are used frequently when handling cash or credit.
- Problem-solving, reasoning, motivating, and training abilities are often used.
- Have the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and/or holidays
