GCP - Cloud Platform Engineer

Job Description

If you’re a hands‑on cloud platform engineer who enjoys building secure, scalable GCP foundations—not just apps—this role is for you. You’ll design and automate enterprise‑grade infrastructure, container platforms, and integration services (Pub/Sub, Dataflow, APIs, Open Shift/GKE, Terraform) that power multiple business‑critical teams.

• Designing and deploying various opinionated cloud environments and platforms aligned with enterprise architecture and security requirements while meeting the business‑critical needs of internal customers.
• Collaborate with enterprise architect, security teams, solution architects, product teams, etc. to design, build, and deploy cloud infrastructure solutions to meet the company’s needs for scalability, availability, performance and security.
• Monitor system usage to predict future needs, ensuring that the organization scales its IT resources appropriately.
• Develop automation scripts and IaC templates for configuring and provisioning complex cloud resources including identity services, virtual private cloud, gateways, SSL, Kubernetes clusters, No
  
  SQL data stores, etc.
• Integrate enterprise security and disaster recovery policies in cloud infrastructure configurations, ensuring data protection and data retention practices comply with industry regulations.
• Design, implement and optimize cloud‑based storage solutions ensuring data availability, security and cost efficiency.
• Assist in the execution of technology strategy and implementation of engineering roadmaps, including optimizing cloud expenditure, maximizing resource usage and ensuring high availability across required geographic regions.
• Evaluate new and emerging cloud technologies for incorporation into existing systems, assist in modernization efforts to prioritize and execute migrations of on‑prem services to cloud systems.

• Engineer 2 Exp.:
  Practitioner: 1 coding language or framework. 4+ years in IT; 3+ years in development.

• Bachelor's Degree

• Design, develop, and deploy Open Shift Container Application environment to run middleware services ensuring efficient deployment and maintenance of message flow integration solutions.
• Design and implement robust, scalable messaging middleware solution primarily within cloud environments like Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Develop message integration with GCP services ex. Pub/Sub, Dataflow with internal and external partner applications. Design, deploy and secure REST API and SOAP/XML Webservices with OAuth and mTLS.
• Develop Message flow with ingest/push messages between source and sink. Map Input and Output based on Schemas and configure message routing based on content. Ensure the overall quality of integration solutions throughout the development lifecycle, from message conversion to flow deployment. Configure application monitoring, logging and alerting. you will have
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field Experience in software development primarily focused on Java, Spring Boot and other open‑source technologies.
• Expertise in deploying container solution in Open Shift Cluster. Expertise in Infrastructure as a Cod ex Terraform Expertise in CI/CD pipeline ex. Jenkins, Tekton Experience with GCP services like Cloud Run, Apigee, Pub‑sub, Cloud tasks/schedulers, GKE Knowledge of SQL and No‑SQL databases including cloud native ones like Cloud SQL.
• Postgre
  
  SQL & Big query Experience in utilizing Agile product management tools like JIRA Experience in collaborative tools like Git Hub, Bitbucket etc.
• Experience with configure application monitoring with Dynatrace, logging with Splunk.
