Epitec is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to join our automotive client's team. As an IT Project Manager, the candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering and supporting critical systems for managing time, absence, and workforce management functions essential for paying hourly employees.
- This is an ongoing W2 contract
- This is a hybrid position in Dearborn, MI
- Own end-to-end delivery of Workforce Management solutions, with a focus on Work Force Software (WFS) configuration and modernization initiatives
- Develop and manage integrated project plans, timelines, risks, issues, dependencies, and change control activities
- Coordinate delivery across WFS, HRIS, and Payroll systems, ensuring data integrity and seamless integration
- Provide executive-level reporting (timelines, Gantt charts, cutover and parallel run plans) to senior stakeholders
- Partner with Product Management and Business Owners to translate business needs into clear, measurable requirements
- Contribute to product vision, strategy, and roadmaps for the Timekeeping Modernization portfolio
- Own and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring epics and sagas are decomposed into testable user stories
- Lead program and project governance, bridging technical teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, releases, and retrospectives
- Drive continuous improvement across delivery, Agile practices, and system modernization efforts
- Support release and deployment activities, including system cutovers and stabilization
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- 6+ years of IT experience, including 3+ years in Program or Project Management
- Proven expertise managing complex, cross-functional technology programs
- Strong experience with Agile and SDLC methodologies
- Hands-on experience with Jira for backlog, sprint, and release management
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, timelines, risks, and financial reporting
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex information for technical and executive audiences
- Background in Workforce Management, Timekeeping, HRIS, or Payroll systems
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools, including SharePoint and MS Teams
- Experience working with third-party vendors, integrations, and data migrations
- Prior experience contributing to product roadmaps and portfolio-level planning
