Project Lead, IT​/Tech, Systems Engineer

The Project Lead supports enterprise Storage as a Service (STaaS) and Data Protection as a Service (DPaaS) platforms. This role focuses on storage operations, asset management, infrastructure support, financial planning, and data center activities within a global environment.

• Manage Jira tracking for epics, user stories, and tasks to support Agile delivery
• Perform asset management, including leasing, service contracts, and lifecycle tracking
• Support global storage capacity planning and service expansion initiatives
• Install and decommission storage hardware and infrastructure components
• Plan and implement fiber optic connections for new and existing devices
• Support server connectivity requests and troubleshoot infrastructure issues
• Assist with data center operations, including equipment installation and removal
• Conduct financial planning, forecasting, and capacity reporting
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including server, network, and vendor partners

• Experience with Jira or similar Agile project management tools
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills with the ability to present insights
• Knowledge of or ability to learn financial processes and cost management methodologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills across technical and business teams
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities in IT environments
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills, professionalism, and integrity

• Experience with procurement, purchasing, or project management processes
• Familiarity with data center environments, layouts, and access protocols
• Knowledge of storage infrastructure, including:
  • Fiber optic cabling and connectivity
  • Cisco MDS switches
• Experience coordinating vendor installations and power requirements
• Knowledge of storage device deployment and decommissioning
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, as required for hardware support tasks

This is a Contract position based out of Dearborn, MI.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $40.00/hr.
