Summary
- Qualified candidates would have Pharmacy experience. Candidates must have a primary address located within the state of Michigan or be willing to move to Michigan to be considered.
- Use a strong understanding of business systems and industry requirements to work with business owners and users to document requirements and workflows.
- Design and maintain content and key system controls (codes tables, master files, user interfaces, etc.).
- Troubleshoot problems and incidents, recommending innovative solutions.
- Plan, execute, and document supporting evidence of application testing.
- Collect information regarding potential system enhancement needs and analyze new functionality in releases to determine how it should be used.
- Analyze application capabilities to optimize its use within workflows.
- Assist in cross‑training team members and users.
- Participate in additional projects including software updates and changes.
- Work within the Willow team.
- Provide exceptional customer service while delivering Go‑Live or daily end‑user support and training of applications.
- Understand fundamental functionality of application systems and diverse modules within the designated support area.
- Deliver prompt, efficient, and effective customer assistance by addressing reported concerns until they are resolved.
- Participate in the creation, testing, and upkeep of system applications.
- Coordinate discussions, manage priorities, resolve conflicts, and maintain issue lists and project tasks within specified timelines.
- Utilize knowledge of primary application integration and transition points between primary application and third‑party applications to troubleshoot and provide support.
- Takes ownership of incidents in primary areas of support, collaborating with other areas for satisfactory resolution.
- Detect errors and inconsistencies in system configurations and documentation, adhering to established processes and procedures to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Execute system updates and changes according to IT incident and change policies and procedures, documenting process, testing, and approvals.
- Effectively translate and communicate complex technical solutions across various groups to drive informed decision‑making within the organization.
- Participate in an on‑call support rotation to address urgent organizational needs.
- Travel between My Michigan and affiliated locations may be required for support and go‑live implementations.
- Embrace the technological orientation of My Michigan Health and demonstrate competency in Microsoft Windows, completing a Computer Skills Assessment upon hiring and pursuing further learning as needed.
- Associate’s degree; or Bachelor’s degree in IT, business, or healthcare field; or Associate’s degree with at least three years of related application system support experience.
- One or more active Epic Certifications or other relevant healthcare certifications;
Epic certification required within 90 days of hire for Epic Application positions. - One or more years of prior work experience within Healthcare or Healthcare IT, with strong understanding of clinical workflows, terminology, and industry standards.
- Analytical thinking to dissect complex problems, assess options, and make informed decisions.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring system integrity and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for engaging stakeholders, team members, and end users.
- Positive interaction with end users and teammates, empathizing with their needs.
- Flexibility to work in a dynamic healthcare environment and respond to new challenges.
- Collaborative mindset for multidisciplinary teamwork and building relationships.
- Experience in change management principles and practices for smooth transitions during system upgrades.
- Ability to prioritize tasks based on importance and urgency, aligning with the organization’s mission, vision, and values.
- Exposure to stressful situations, including public contact, trauma, grief, or death.
- Wear personal protective equipment that includes latex or substitute if required.
- Move freely within the facility with or without assistance; perform job functions per description.
- No visual or hearing impairment; adequate vision and hearing with or without aids.
- Require repeated sitting, standing, walking; frequent postural changes such as stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
- Exposure to blood borne pathogens and other potentially infectious material; follow blood borne pathogen and TB testing as required.
- Handle multiple tasks, work independently, attend regularly, and stay awake.
- Manipulate objects, reach, grasp, fingering, and feeling; repeated movements common.
- Physical demand: sedentary; occasional lifting 0–10 lb; virtual care team requires lifting 20–50 lb.
