In this position, you will lead the enterprise AI strategy across the entire platform portfolio, shaping how AI is integrated, governed, and enabled across all of EPEO’s platform organizations. You will bring deep technical knowledge of enterprise AI platforms and the strategic judgment to define where AI belongs, what it should change, and how the organization gets there. This is a forward‑looking, cross‑cutting mandate with authority across all platform teams.
WhatYou’ll Do AI Portfolio Strategy & Platform Assessment
- Maintain an enterprise‑wide view of AI deployment, usage, fit, and gaps across all platforms.
- Continuously evaluate AI capabilities from leading cloud services, enterprise assistants, frontier models, and emerging providers against the current operating model.
- Define and own a forward‑looking cross‑platform AI strategy roadmap for the next one to three years.
- Identify step‑change opportunities for automation, augmentation, or core re‑architecture.
- Challenge existing platform assumptions to promote AI‑native alternatives.
- Drive activation and adoption of AI capabilities with Platform Engineering, Developer Experience, Employee Experience, Foundational Platform, and Digital Core teams.
- Serve as the strategic AI advisor across all platforms, providing a cross‑cutting lens.
- Build and govern the AI portfolio framework, including categorization, fit evaluation, value measurement, and executive reporting.
- Align platform organizations on AI priorities, sequencing, and shared standards.
- Develop internal AI platform fluency through structured evaluation frameworks and strategic context.
- Build and own the AI governance framework covering model selection, use policies, data classification, and risk guardrails.
- Own AI Fin Ops as a strategic discipline, providing consumption visibility, cost attribution, efficiency tracking, ROI reporting, budget governance, and spend forecasting.
- Ensure AI enablement meets security, compliance, IP protection, and responsible use standards.
- Partner with CISO, Legal, and Compliance to maintain a risk management framework that scales with adoption.
- Lead strategic AI vendor relationships at the architecture and roadmap level, influencing provider direction based on enterprise needs.
- Maintain a technology radar evaluating emerging models, frameworks, and patterns before they become mainstream.
- Conduct vendor capability assessments beyond marketing materials, forming independent technical views.
- Manage the AI provider portfolio as a strategic asset, evaluating concentration risk, capability overlap, and investment sequencing.
- Align AI enablement priorities with core infrastructure and platform delivery roadmaps.
- Collaborate on how AI changes engineering build, test, and ship cycles.
- Partner on AI‑enabled platform capabilities that reach broader workforce functions.
- Work closely on shared infrastructure, data, and runtime services underpinning AI workloads.
- Engage on how AI strategy intersects with core systems and business platforms.
- Ensure AI adoption meets enterprise risk, data handling, and regulatory standards.
- Present well‑formed AI strategy recommendations to senior and executive leadership.
- Provide executive visibility into AI platform health, governance posture, Fin Ops efficiency, and transformation progress.
- Represent AI platform strategy at internal leadership forums, external industry events, and vendor conversations.
- Translate a fast‑moving AI landscape into actionable direction for the platform organization.
- Maintain an independent, rigorous view of AI positioning across the platform portfolio.
- Identify platform transformation opportunities ahead of consensus and deliver recommendations to leadership.
- Drive AI enablement through influence, building trust across organizations without direct authority.
