Server Infrastructure Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Server Infrastructure Engineer for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI. The ideal candidate will lead enterprise server operations, automation, firmware management, and infrastructure optimization across a global environment.

Rate Range: $60/Hour to $65/Hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Provide advanced L3 support, troubleshoot complex server hardware issues, and perform root cause analysis across global server environments.
• Manage and maintain enterprise server infrastructure, including HPE, Dell, and Lenovo platforms, along with out-of-band management tools such as iLO, iDRAC, and One View.
• Develop and support automation solutions using Python, Power Shell, Ansible, and REST APIs to streamline server configuration and firmware management.
• Lead server hardware testing, firmware lifecycle management, and infrastructure projects to improve reliability, security, and performance.
• Design, implement, and optimize servers, virtualization, storage, and hybrid cloud infrastructure solutions aligned with business requirements.
• Monitor system health, capacity, and performance using tools such as Dynatrace and Netcool while maintaining technical documentation and supporting team knowledge-sharing initiatives.

• Associate’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of experience in server infrastructure, systems engineering, or related IT roles, including 5+ years in an enterprise environment.
• Expert knowledge of enterprise server hardware and out-of-band management tools such as HPE iLO, HPE One View, Dell iDRAC, and Open Manage Enterprise.
• Strong automation experience using Python, Power Shell, or Ansible, with hands‑on expertise in firmware management, REST APIs, and enterprise server infrastructure support.

$60.00 to $65.00 per hour.
