Hybrid – Any Service Center Throughout Lower Michigan

Monday, Tuesday & Thursday

Potential Locations:
Jackson, Lansing, Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids, Royal Oak, Livonia, Saginaw, Bay City, and other Lower Michigan service centers.

Position Overview

Our client is expanding its team to support increased business demand, including growth driven by data centers and other major projects. This position will join a team of approximately 20 professionals and will support procurement and contracting activities across multiple business functions.

The selected candidate may support projects within Electric, Gas, Generation, IT, and Corporate functions
.

Key Responsibilities

• Support sourcing, procurement, and contracting activities across multiple business units.
• Develop and manage sourcing activities, including RFPs (Requests for Proposal), RFIs (Requests for Information), and related procurement processes
  .
• Review and understand contract structures, terms, and requirements.
• Work with contractors and suppliers and support contract negotiations.
• Route contracts and related documents through appropriate approval and signature processes
  .
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, contractors, suppliers, and other business partners.
• Utilize ERP systems to manage procurement and contracting activities.
• Ensure procurement and contracting processes follow established business procedures and requirements.
• Support various projects across Electric, Gas, Generation, IT, and Corporate functions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred/required.
• 2–4 years of sourcing/procurement experience
  .
• Experience with contracting and contract administration
  .
• Good understanding of contract structures and negotiation with contractors/suppliers
  .
• Experience routing contracts or documents for internal approvals and signatures
  .
• Experience working with an ERP system
  , such as SAP or another comparable platform.
• Understanding of RFP, RFI, and sourcing/procurement processes
  .
• Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with in the utility, energy, or related industry is a plus.
• Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure, construction, engineering, technology, or capital projects is beneficial.
• Relevant professional certifications are welcome;
  any applicable certification may be considered.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have 2–4 years of sourcing/procurement and contracting experience
, strong knowledge of contract processes and negotiations, and experience working with ERP systems such as SAP. Utility experience is preferred but not required
; candidates from other industries with strong sourcing and contracting backgrounds may be considered.
