The Area Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Macomb, MI, responsible for overseeing multiple retail tax offices within a defined territory. This role manages office performance, including revenue growth, client experience, and operational efficiency, while ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include coaching and supporting office leaders and tax professionals, monitoring key performance metrics, and implementing strategies to improve client satisfaction and retention.
The Area Manager collaborates with regional leadership to plan staffing, training, and marketing initiatives, and ensures that offices are properly equipped and prepared for peak tax seasons. This position also involves resolving escalated client issues, promoting a positive workplace culture, and driving continuous improvement across all locations in the area.

- Operational and business management abilities, such as overseeing multi-site operations, managing budgets, analyzing performance metrics, and implementing process improvements.
- Client service and communication strengths, including conflict resolution, relationship building, clear verbal and written communication, and a strong client-focused mindset.
- Planning and organizational skills, including territory planning, staffing coordination, time management, and the ability to prioritize competing deadlines.
- Basic financial and tax acumen, with the ability to understand tax preparation services, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements; prior experience in retail, financial services, or tax preparation is beneficial.
- Proficiency with common business software and systems, such as Microsoft Office, CRM tools, and point-of-sale or scheduling platforms.
- Ability to work on-site across multiple offices in Macomb, MI, including reliable transportation and flexibility during peak tax seasons.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, management, finance, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
