Facility General Manager Tuscola

The role of Facility General Manager (FGM) involves managing the manufacturing facility, production, and all cross‑functional activities to ensure safe, reliable, and cost‑effective manufacturing of standard recipe products.

• Ensure safe production of products that meet customers’ needs for quality and quantity.
• Develop a culture of continuous improvement and process capability enhancements.
• Oversee plant’s cross‑functional staff and ensure compliance with company and external standards for Manufacturing, Sales, SH&E, Finance, Quality, HR, and Community Affairs.
• Manage capital budget, departmental budgets, and expenditures to meet financial targets.
• Implement local initiatives to enhance plant asset utilization and reduce fixed and variable costs.
• Support implementation and maintenance of the Responsible Care Management System in line with RC14001 technical specifications.
• Coach and develop employees, leading performance‑based management initiatives.
• Engage with community outreach, including development, implementation, and participation in a facility plan in line with neighbor choice philosophy.

• Bachelor’s or university degree in a technical discipline.
• 10+ years of manufacturing experience, including prior people and budget management.
• In‑depth knowledge of chemical manufacturing processes and safety procedures.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement processes and techniques.
• Strong focus on safety and environmental concerns.
• Comprehensive understanding of how the plant integrates with Cabot’s manufacturing goals.
• Ability to organize and manage diverse and multiple resources, including budgets.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate dynamic and complex situations.
• Leadership skills to motivate and lead cross‑functional staff.
• Ability to deal with external contacts and community as needed; may require negotiations with government agencies and other entities.

• Pay range: $192,150 – $278,662 (salary depends on skill, qualifications, experience and location).
