DIRECT HIRE - 2nd Shift Process Tech/Operator $30 - $36 per hour + Shift premium of 7%
Position SummaryWe are hiring a 2nd shift Process Tech for an automotive supplier in Rochester Hills, MI. This individual will be responsible for production, to specified quality and quantity, and according to schedule. The Process Technician will supervise production workers directly, outlining work procedures and assigning duties.
This is a full-time, Direct Hire opportunity!

- 2nd Shift: 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm
- Responsible for the set-up and adjustment of machines.
- Responsible for the appropriate set-up of molds and mold changes.
- Assist in solving work related problems.
- Responsible for machine maintenance, machine repairs including documentation.
- Supervise and train production personnel.
- Responsible for the quantity of all products produced during the scheduled shift.
- Responsible for all documentation pertaining to the overall operation of his/her shift.
- Train and advise employees on current production methods.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Adjust process as required to produce acceptable product and improve efficiency/productivity.
- Inspect safety devices on all equipment.
- Assist machine operators in running their machines as efficiently as possible.
- Maintain cleanliness and general appearance on the production floor.
- Convey all information required to oncoming supervisor to assure he/she has all the information necessary to run a smooth production shift.
- Document any noted clear or malfunction of equipment to ensure equipment repair is done in a timely manner.
- Instruct all employees as to the overall function of equipment being used and be confident that all personnel have necessary knowledge to operate all machinery in a safe and productive manner.
- Perform other duties assigned by management as deemed necessary for the overall success of the company.
- Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformity relating to product, process and quality system.
- Identify and record any problems relating to the product, process and quality system.
- Requires considerable knowledge of the methods, tools, materials and equipment associated with injection molding.
- Ability to supervise, establish, and maintain cooperative relationships with other employees.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
