EDM Operator

Nypro Mold is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented EDM Operator to join our precision tooling team. The EDM Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining EDM equipment to produce high-precision mold components that meet exact specifications and quality standards. This position plays a critical role in supporting our mold manufacturing operations by ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and on‑time delivery.

• Set up and operate Sinker EDM machines
• Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and process sheets
• Perform electrode setup, alignment, and burn operations
• Monitor machine performance and adjust offsets as needed
• Inspect finished components using precision measuring tools
• Maintain required documentation and production records
• Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting
• Work collaboratively with Toolmakers, Programmers, and Engineering teams
• Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards

• 2+ years of EDM operating experience
• Experience in mold manufacturing or precision machining environment strongly preferred
• Ability to read and understand blueprints
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training a plus

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment

$24-$32/hour based on experience
