Process Technician

Primary Responsibilities

• Supporting Continuous Improvement efforts to improve plant safety, ergonomics, quality, productivity, and morale
• Identifying potential Safety and Manufacturing issues, developing creative, custom solutions to address the issues and implementing the solutions
• Use a variety of automated and handheld tools such as welders, cutting equipment, hoists, grinders, pneumatic tools, and measuring devices to fabricate fixtures consistent with Lean Manufacturing principles
• Provide fill‑in support to the production and material distribution teams as required, based on demand and available resources
• Perform basic facility maintenance as directed by Supervisor
• Provide assembly training as required
• Develop process documentation through the use of visual aids, written procedures, and computer‑generated documents
• Maintain the work area in a clean, orderly, and safe condition
• Perform other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position

• Minimum 1 year as a permanent PTL Team Member
• 5+ years of experience in industrial Manufacturing
• Must possess strong problem‑solving abilities and the openness to think outside of the box
• Must possess a basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing Principles
• Possess basic knowledge of the Safe operation and application of mechanical and fabrication tools and machinery
• Working knowledge of simple electrical circuits, mechanics, pneumatics and hydraulics
• Possess the capacity to interpret basic Engineering drawings and schematics
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to meet assigned tasks and project schedules with minimum direct Supervision
• Adaptability to rapidly changing priorities as required
• Flexible to work Overtime as necessary
