Marathon Staffing is seeking safe, dependable, and detail‑oriented 1st Shift Forklift Operators to join our team in Clinton, SC. Job DetailsPay: $20.00/hour
Schedule: 1st Shift – Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move raw materials, finished goods, and supplies
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and shipping containers
- Transport materials between production lines, warehouses, and storage areas
- Supply production lines with materials to ensure continuous operations
- Stack, store, and organize inventory in designated warehouse locations
- Conduct daily pre‑shift inspections of forklifts and report maintenance or safety issues
- Follow all company safety policies, rules, and regulations while operating equipment
- Ensure materials are properly labeled, wrapped, and secured for storage or shipment
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards
- Inspect products and materials for damage before transport or storage
- Communicate with production, shipping, and receiving teams to prioritize material movement
- Support shipping and receiving activities, including staging orders and preparing outbound loads
- Operate additional material‑handling equipment, such as pallet jacks or reach trucks, as needed
- Assist with general warehouse and manufacturing duties as assigned
- Report accidents, equipment malfunctions, and safety concerns promptly
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous forklift operation or warehouse experience preferred
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial equipment
- Experience with material handling, shipping, receiving, or manufacturing environments
- Ability to read and interpret labels, work instructions, and basic documentation
- Good attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate inventory movement
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with a sense of urgency
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word)
- ERP system experience is a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Reliable, team‑oriented, and willing to learn
- Regular standing, walking, bending, stooping, and squatting
- Frequent use of hands for equipment operation and material handling tasks
- Ability to reach with hands and arms and communicate effectively
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to safely operate equipment while maintaining awareness of surroundings
- Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check
