Tankless Water Heating System Production Builder / Assembler - 1st Shift, Comstock Park

engineers and produces industry-leading commercial tankless water heating systems in our shop. We are looking for someone to join our Production / Assembly team.

SUMMARY: The FRG builder / assembler's role consists of bolting up aluminum frames, prepping units, hanging units, running MC cabling to distribution panel, connecting wiring harnesses for units, pumps and controllers, running assembling and adding copper and iron manifolds and fittings and updating work orders using a tablet. These builds are complex and require mechanical aptitude, the ability to work from prints, good shop math and measuring skills, and the ability to fit and join pipe and route basic wiring harnesses.

Must follow safety and quality policies, meet KPI's and be a team player. Special consideration will be given to candidates with plumbing or piping experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Compliance w/ all safety policies and company procedures;
• Read and work from written diagrams, instructions and prints;
• Proficiently operate hand and power tools (wrenches, drill, impact, saw, torch, grinder, pipe cutter, nail gun, crimp tool, pipe vice, threaders);
• Perform hands-on assembly and wiring of components and/or sub-assemblies, i.e., bolting up racks, prepping valve connections / unions, routing MC cable and wiring harnesses;
• Perform hands-on final assembly, including fitting and joining piping, i.e., 2" copper and 2" black pipe manifolds using Pro Press technology;
• Complete work on time in accordance with production plan KPI;
• Pay attention to detail and be mindful of quality;
• Work independently and as part of a team;
• Keep work area safe and clean daily;
• Use a tablet to update work orders;
• Other duties, as needed

• Must be of legal hiring age and authorized to work in the US without sponsorship;
• Must haveHS Diploma, GED or equivalent;
• Must have recent related work history and experience;
• Familiarity or experience with plumbing or pipe fitting HIGHLY PREFERRED;
• Must show up on time and have good daily attendance;
• Must demonstrate safe and proficient operation of hand and power tools, as well as shop equipment (i.e., saws, etc);
• Must demonstrate hands-on mechanical aptitude and possess the ability to build from prints / diagrams;
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills to professionally communicate with the team;
• Must have solid work ethic and the ability to handle the physical demands of the job;
• Willingness and ability to perform physically strenuous tasks during shift, i.e., periodic lifting (up to 60 lbs), as well as walking, bending; standing, twisting, turning, kneeling and/or squatting
