Trillium Staffing is now hiring aCNC Programmer for full-time work in East Tawas!

Pay is up to $30.00/hour, based on experience and qualifications. Schedule is7:30am - 4:00pm.

We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer with 3–5 years of experience to join our manufacturing team in Northern Michigan. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, troubleshooting, and optimizing CNC equipment to produce high-quality precision components.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on, detail-oriented professional with strong CNC programming and machining skills who can work independently and effectively with a production team.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs for production machining.
  • Program CNC mills, lathes, and/or machining centers.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
  • Create efficient toolpaths using CAD/CAM software.
  • Select appropriate tooling, feeds, speeds, and work holding methods.
  • Set up and prove out CNC programs and adjust as necessary.
  • Troubleshoot programming, tooling, and machining problems.
  • Optimize programs to improve cycle times, tool life, efficiency, and part quality.
  • Work closely with machinists, engineers, and quality personnel.
  • Perform first-piece inspections and make programming adjustments when required.
  • Maintain CNC programs, setup sheets, tooling information, and related documentation.
  • Follow all safety and quality procedures.
  • Assist with continuous improvement efforts throughout the manufacturing process.

Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of CNC programming and machining experience.
  • Strong knowledge of G-code and M-code.
  • Experience with CNC mills, lathes, or machining centers.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, Fusion 360, Gibbs CAM, or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of cutting tools, feeds and speeds, and machining processes.
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or machining education preferred.
Preferred Experience
  • 3-, 4-, or 5-axis CNC machining.
  • Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, Siemens, or similar CNC controls.
  • Tight-tolerance or complex component machining.
  • Precision manufacturing or production machining.
  • Lean manufacturing and continuous-improvement practices.
