Position Summary:
The Village in Dearborn, MI is seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Manager to oversee clinical operations within our Skilled Nursing neighborhood. The Village is a vibrant senior living community offering Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Skilled Nursing services all on one campus, providing a full continuum of care for our residents.
The Unit Manager plays a key leadership role in ensuring exceptional clinical outcomes, regulatory compliance, and a supportive team environment focused on resident-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:Oversee daily clinical operations of the assigned Skilled Nursing unit
Supervise, mentor, and support RNs, LPNs, and CNAs
Ensure delivery of high-quality, person-centered resident care
Coordinate admissions, discharges, and interdisciplinary care planning
Monitor compliance with state, federal, and CMS regulations
Conduct staff evaluations, coaching, and performance management
Collaborate with therapy, social services, dietary, and other departments
Lead quality improvement and infection control initiatives
Address resident and family concerns professionally and promptly
Participate in on‑call rotation as needed
Qualifications:Active RN license in the State of Michigan, in good standing
2–3+ years of experience in skilled nursing or long‑term care
Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Strong working knowledge of long‑term care regulations and survey readiness
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
