Unit Overview
This 30‑bed Level 3 neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) provides a team‑like atmosphere with a Neonatologist and Neonatal Nurse Practitioner on the unit 24 hours a day. NICU nurses are NRP certified, attend high‑risk deliveries, and participate in interdisciplinary transport of infants to Beaumont Dearborn's NICU.
Scope of WorkThe RN applies the ANA scope of practice and uses the nursing process to provide professional, patient‑family centered care. The RN assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and discharges patients under the direction of the Nurse Leader, following Corewell Health policies and procedures. The RN partners with families, incorporates their input into care plans, develops teaching strategies, and documents education and learning in the health record.
Qualifications- Associate’s or Diploma in Nursing (required)
