Nurse Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and motivated nurse leader who is clinically strong, operationally savvy, and passionate about building engaged, high‑performing teams. This leadership role allows you to influence day‑to‑day operations while shaping long‑term culture, quality outcomes, and staff development.

About This Unit

The Short Stay/Observation Unit is a 50‑bed unit consisting of private rooms dedicated to the care of adult patients with a wide range of non‑critical diagnoses. The unit includes 20 telemetry beds for patients requiring cardiac monitoring and specializes in non‑critical medical and surgical care.

Scope of Work

The Clinical Nurse Manager is an experienced leader responsible for the overall management of assigned units and services. This role provides leadership and oversight of patient care staff to support a culture of excellence in clinical practice, staff engagement, recruitment and retention, and strong clinical and operational outcomes.

Areas Of Responsibility

Under general direction, the Clinical Nurse Manager maintains 24‑hour accountability for leadership and management of a designated patient care unit. Responsibilities include promoting high‑quality nursing care, cost‑effective resource utilization, staff professional development, and a patient‑ and family‑centered care culture.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Required.
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) Preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of clinical nursing experience Required.
  • MI Registered Nurse (RN) license Required.
  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Required.
  • AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification Required.
  • One year of formal nursing leadership experience (external candidates) Required.
  • Two years of demonstrated informal leadership experience for internal candidates, which may include roles such as Charge Nurse, Lead Nurse, or participation in Shared Governance Councils Required.
