Registered Nurse Circulator- Operating Room (20 hours ​/wk. Part-Time Benefits) Days-Dearborn

This position is for a very busy 3 room multi-specialty OR, including cataract surgery.

We offer a variety of surgical services within our 3 operating rooms:
Ophthalmology, General, Plastics, GYN, Ortho Hand, Ortho Foot, Urology and ENT.

GENERAL

SUMMARY:

Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

Hours:

The unit is open Monday-Friday. Shift is  (occasionally required to stay over to finish cases).

This position will work 5 days per 2 week pay period.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

REQUIRED:

* BSN preferred.

* Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.

* OR Circulating experience (1-2 years)

* Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.

* Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.

* Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

* Scrub knowledge is a plus

* Must have prior operating room experience

* Must have a positive attitude

* Requires a team player and be able to work in a fast-paced environment

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES

REQUIRED:

* Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing
