Registered Nurse

UP Health System - Portage seeks a Registered Nurse to provide compassionate, evidence-based care in our community hospital serving Michigan's Upper Peninsula. In this role, you'll perform comprehensive assessments, administer medications and treatments, monitor patient status, and maintain accurate EHR documentation. You will educate patients and families, collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members, and uphold high standards of safety, quality, and infection control in our patient-centered, community-focused environment.

• Deliver direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and medication administration
• Develop and update individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
• Monitor, document, and report patient status using EHR systems
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge plans
• Coordinate with physicians and interdisciplinary staff to ensure safe, high-quality care
• Follow infection control, safety, and hospital policies and procedures
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
• Support a patient- and community-focused culture through compassionate service
