Chemical Technician

Chemical Technician position available in the Dearborn, Michigan area working at a leading manufacturer and testing industry client.

Primary duties involve test lab operations. This is a contract position with potential for growth based on business needs. Pay rate is $22.00 per hour for an 8‑hour shift—Monday through Friday 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

• Familiarity with hands‑on tools and standard laboratory testing equipment
• Perform routine testing (hands‑on operations) and sample preparation
• Responsible for overall performance of assigned laboratory tests or projects
• Generate appropriate chemical or physical properties reports
• Adhere to company policies and internal operating procedures from the ISO 17025 quality system during the measurement/testing process
• Work within a fast‑paced laboratory environment
• Adhere to strict safety protocols
• Take ownership of all duties related to Test Lab Operations
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Ensure work is performed safely using all available safety equipment
• Other duties as assigned

• One year of experience in environmental, corrosion, chemical, material science, or laboratory background
• Experience with polarized light microscope
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position
• Ability to pass pre‑employment screening
