Hybrid Test Engineer – Automation Lab L3

Location: Dearborn, MI (Onsite – F2F)
Preferred Experience: 3–5 years in automotive infotainment testing, with experience in IVI or Cluster testing and automation projects.

• Execute automated and hybrid (manual + automated) test cases in AAOS/IVI automation labs for sanity, targeted, regression, and release validation cycles.
• Prepare feature‑based automation test plans for each release or regression cycle, defining scope, coverage, risks, dependencies, and entry/exit criteria.
• Analyze lab and automation execution failures to differentiate product defects, automation script issues, and lab/environment problems.
• Perform failure triage and root‑cause analysis using logs, screenshots, traces, and reports across framework, app, and platform layers.
• Fix and stabilize automation scripts and test frameworks, addressing timing issues, UI changes, API updates, and flaky test behavior.
• Re‑execute failed and fixed test cases to ensure closure validation and confirm stability before release sign‑off.
• Log, track, and manage defects and automation issues in Jira/Test Rail with clear repro steps, analysis notes, and supporting evidence.
• Support release and regression test execution by coordinating lab readiness, build availability, test sequencing, and execution tracking.
• Identify automation gaps during execution and continuously improve test coverage by converting high‑value manual tests into automation.
• Collaborate closely with developers, SDETs, and validation teams to review failures, validate fixes, and align test plans with sprint and release goals.

• 3–5 years of experience in automotive infotainment testing.
• Experience with IVI or Cluster testing.
• Strong background in automation projects and test framework development.
• Proficiency with Jira and Test Rail for defect and test case management.
• Analytical skills for failure analysis and root‑cause investigation.

Salary range: $80,000 – $90,000 per year. The expected compensation for this role ranges from $45,000 to $121,000; final compensation will depend on various factors including geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience.
