AboutThe Role
This is a full time opportunity working in the quality lab. Primary duties include collecting and testing aggregate samples while loading ships
What You'll Accomplish- Perform all responsibilities safely
- Collecting samples
- Performing routine testing of aggregate samples (quartering samples, running gradations, washes, moistures and picking deleterious
- Entering data into the aggregate quality reporting system
- Calibrating lab equipment
- Loading Ships with spec products
- Filling in with Dozer relief
- Basic understanding of control charts
- Two-year technical degree required or five years in QC testing of construction materials in lieu of education. Four-year college degree preferred.
- Basic computer skills including basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Basic math skills
- Basic knowledge of statistics
- Attend MDOT Certified Aggregate Technician program Excellent driving record
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
