The Eagle Tavern in Greenfield Village is an 1850s era restaurant. The menu features seasonal dishes characteristic of southern Michigan at that time, made from real recipes from the era and prepared using traditional 19th-century methods. Our Eagle Tavern Busser position is responsible for contributing to an authentic dining experience for our guests.
Essential Responsibilities- Clears dishes/trash from tables, chairs, and counters
- Empties trash regularly and removes from unit
- Performs opening and closing tasks, as assigned, including flipping chairs and sweeping
- Breaks down bussing trays of service items and sort them into proper dish racks/glass racks
- Resets tables and dining room for service
- Maintains cleanliness of all restaurant areas, including taking out garbage, sweeping and mopping floors, and straightening storage areas
- Provides our guests with a historically accurate portrayal of a dining experience
- Interacts and communicates with guests and co-workers in a professional and friendly manner
- Responsible for the care and maintenance of historical clothing uniform
- Ensures an outstanding guest experience
- Handles and stores all equipment properly and with care
- Performs other activities as necessary
- 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Must be flexible in hours and scheduling
- Customer service oriented with a hospitable demeanor.
- Should be enthusiastic and possess good communication skills.
- The ability and willingness to work outdoors in all types of weather and wear period clothing or uniforms.
