Salary Range: $15.00 Hourly

Description
HOURS: 10-20 hours per week, days, evenings, and weekends.
MINIMUM AGE: Must be at least 18 years of age
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF WORK
: This is year-round, part time clerical and cashier work. Emphasis is placed on customer service, sales, cashiering, and computer related functions. The employee is responsible for handling customer concerns while projecting a positive image of the organization. The employee performs cashier related duties including collecting fees; distributing tickets, tags, passes; and completing daily cash reports. The employee also performs word processing, data entry or other computer-related tasks, as well as general office clerical functions.
Some office functions will include creating flyers and brochures for programs/events held at the facility such as skating lessons, hockey tournaments and other events held by the Dearborn Ice Skating Center.
Delivers superior customer service; performs cashier related duties.
Handles activity and program registration
Performs word processing, data entry, or other computer-related tasks.
Files documents in proper order according to established filing systems.
Performs daily record keeping tasks; prepares reports.
Enforces the rules of the Dearborn Ice Skating Center with social responsibility.
Attends mandatory staff meetings.
Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance as scheduled.
Performs other duties as assigned.

:
Ability to work independently under general supervision, and to demonstrate initiative in performance of the work.
Ability to follow established departmental procedures, learn new tasks and adapt to operational changes readily.
Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in an effective manner.
Ability to establish and maintain effective and cooperative relationships with other employees, program participants, and the general public.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
:
Customer service and sales experience, cash handling and knowledge of computer business applications are necessary.
Knowledge of ice arena operations, including figure skating programs, pro shop, and general hockey.
EXAMINATION PROCESS
:
Applications will be reviewed. Qualified applicants will be scheduled for an interview.
NECESSARY SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS
:
Must submit to a criminal history check (including sex offender registry if applicable) and pre-employment physical/drug screen.
