Overview
As a Retail Team Leader (Key Holder) at Gordon Food Service, you will grow into a leadership role that supports customer service, inventory management, point‑of‑sale operations, and store upkeep. The position offers a structured schedule, opportunities for advancement, and a supportive work environment.
Responsibilities- Open and close the store.
- Complete daily store operations and tasks for the day.
- Assist in unloading all merchandise from delivery trucks, organize merchandise, and transfer items from stockroom to store.
- Maintain merchandise: rotate products, ensure proper food handling, and verify product quality upon receiving.
- Provide exceptional customer service by building relationships, solving problems, and driving sales.
- Handle cash: perform bank deposits, dispense change for cashiers, set and count down registers.
- Help build and train the team, including supervising sales associates in the performance of their assigned duties.
- 1–2 years of retail experience with progressively increasing responsibility.
- Minimum age 18 years.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer skills.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50lb and lift above shoulder height frequently.
- Availability for a flexible full‑time schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to safely operate power equipment such as slicing equipment, walk‑in lifts, and forklifts where applicable.
- Willingness to respond to alarm calls during non‑working hours and work shifts at other nearby stores if needed.
- Structured store hours:
Monday‑Saturday 7AM–8PM, Sunday 9AM–6PM. - Holidays off (closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Day, and Easter).
