Position Summary
Provides member service. Maintains the checkout area. Resolves member issues and concerns. Promotes Sam's Club products and services. Provides guidance and support to members regarding self-service technology. Processes member purchases. Assists with payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges according to company policies and procedures for different membership and payment types. Follows company safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including conducting safety sweeps.
Responsibilities- Follows proper procedures for handling merchandise. Corrects and reports unsafe situations to facility management.
- Maintains entrance areas, acknowledges members, verifies membership cards, and identifies member needs. Assists members with purchasing decisions, locates merchandise, resolves member issues, and promotes company products and services. Zones the area and arranges and organizes merchandise. Assists members with transporting items and maintains a safe shopping environment.
- Maintains exit areas, reviews member receipts, acknowledges members, and identifies member needs. Secures and safeguards Sam's Club assets by observing and communicating potential criminal activity according to company policies. Maintains paperwork, logs, and other required documentation. Executes emergency response procedures and ensures compliance with company security and safety practices.
- Assists with training of Member Frontline Services associates on company processes and procedures. Teaches new technology and tool functionality, delivers new programs rollout training, and provides continuous learning and process improvement opportunities.
- Ensures area of responsibility is maintained in accordance with company policies by properly handling returns. Identifies shrink and damages.
- Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity, implements related action plans, uses the Open Door Policy, and applies these in executing business processes and practices.
- Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborates with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners; identifies priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carries out tasks; communicates progress and information; determines and recommends ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapts to and learns from change, difficulties, and feedback.
