Position OverviewWe are seeking a full-time AV & Smart Technology Sales Consultant to join our team in Mason, MI. This role combines customer relationship management, onsite walkthroughs, project discovery, initial system scoping, and quote development for both residential and commercial technology projects.
The ideal candidate is comfortable meeting with customers onsite, discussing technology solutions, identifying project needs, and coordinating with internal teams to help move projects from concept through approval. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in AV integration, smart home systems, networking, low-voltage technology, or consultative technical sales.
Responsibilities- Conduct onsite customer walkthroughs for residential and commercial projects
- Perform initial project scoping and gather site information for quote development
- Discuss customer goals, functionality needs, and budget expectations
- Assist with developing technology recommendations and preliminary system solutions
- Coordinate with engineering, project management, and technical teams during the quoting process
Prepare and follow up on customer proposals and estimates - Build and maintain long‑term customer relationships
- Maintain CRM/project tracking updates and sales pipeline activity
- Assist with identifying new project opportunities and customer accounts
- Participate in occasional networking events, vendor trainings, and customer meetings
Preferred Experience
- Experience in sales, account management, customer service, project coordination, or technical consulting
- Experience or interest in Audio Visual (AV) systems
- Smart home technology
- Networking/Wi-Fi systems
- Security/access control
- Low‑voltage integration
- Construction or IT‑related industries
- Comfortable performing onsite walkthroughs and speaking directly with customers
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities and follow up consistently
- Basic technical aptitude and willingness to learn technology systems
- Prior AV integration or low‑voltage industry experience
- Experience with quoting or estimating projects

- Base salary of $35,000–$55,000 depending on experience
- Commission and performance‑based earning opportunities
- Candidates who meet performance goals can expect total compensation around $60, annually, with additional growth potential over time
