GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Territory Sales Manager will be the face of Seal Bond in the Construction Industry in their defined geographic territory. This position will be responsible for championing Seal Bond as the preferred choice for construction adhesives and sealants. A successful manager will have the ability to grow sales by networking at all levels of the construction industry including distributors, contractors, and specifiers.

CORE

FUNCTIONS
  • Execute the defined sales plan, strategy, and tactics toward the achievement of sales and profit objectives.
  • Prepare annual sales budget and forecast.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new product sales and new opportunities.
  • Grow territory by adding new accounts and developing clear and effective value-added selling strategies
  • Conduct presentations, training, and meetings to support territory objectives.
  • Identify potential accounts through studying current trends and needs; create and compile lists of prospective accounts; analyze opportunities through solution selling approach.
  • Contribute to the outstanding reputation of the company by always putting the customer first; treating other employees with respect and dignity; responding quickly to requests and needs of customers; conducting business with the highest integrity.
  • Manage customer issues by providing solution-driven options; help support and retain accounts that are ter an environment of collaboration and a team approach to problem solving.
  • Be proficient in CRM to use data, metrics, and reports necessary to manage territory and accounts. Track information and data related to accounts and contacts.
  • Develop strong key decision maker relationships. Build strong partner relationships with key accounts, contacts, and businesses.
  • Provides consistent, concise, accurate internal and external communications.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to the industry staying educated on new regulations, innovative product solutions, application equipment, and market trends.
  • Travel by car or plane to see customers in person. Travel approximately 50% of the time.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Must possess 3-5 years of relevant sales experience selling adhesive, sealant, and coating solutions OR selling other products into the construction market.
  • A four-year college degree or equivalent work experience is preferred.
  • Must possess an “entrepreneurial” and a “service-first” mindset.
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude for taking charge and solving problems; ability to determine solutions for customers (consultative sales approach).
  • Must be results‑orientated and able to work both independently and cooperatively within a team environment.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must possess proficient reporting skills and have meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications and CRM software.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license. Must be able to travel to client meetings.
