Job Description & How to Apply Below
Use the people skills and problem-solving skills you developed during your law enforcement or military career in an environment with less stress and less risk. We are supported by the Global Security leadership team in Dearborn and that ensures our team is professional and well-trained -- for example, the quarterly firearms training means we can maintain firearms proficiency and get paid for it!

Leverage your professional law enforcement or military experience into a rewarding second chapter at Ford.

In this position...

Ford is seeking an experienced Investigator to join our Global Security team, conducting and overseeing complex investigations into criminal activity, fraud, conflicts of interest, theft, embezzlement, and other significant violations of Company policy. In this role, you will manage cases from intake through resolution-interviewing witnesses, preserving evidence, and coordinating closely with partners across Special Investigations, OGC Compliance, HR, Brand Protection, People Matters and other skill teams.

You'll also assist with maintaining relationships with law enforcement agencies, respond to workplace threats, support security training programs, and special event coverage.

We made history and now we work to transform the future - for our customers, our communities and our families. You'll see your work on the road every day, helping people move freely and pursue their dreams. At Ford, you can build more than vehicles. Come build what matters.

What you'll do…

* Complex Case Management:
Lead and oversee diverse investigations including criminal acts, fraud, embezzlement, theft, conflict of interest, and corporate espionage.

* Policy & Regulatory Compliance:
Conduct investigations into violations of Company policy, HIPAA regulations, and the unauthorized leak of confidential or proprietary information.

* Threat Assessment:
Respond to and resolve physical and verbal workplace threats to mitigate the risk of workplace violence.

* Fact-Finding:
Perform interviews and secure written statements from individuals at all levels of the organization.

* Internal Partnerships:
Collaborate with GAO (Special Investigations), OGC (Compliance), HR (People Matters), CIRT Forensics, and Regional Investigation Coordinators.

* External Relations:
Serve as the primary liaison with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies, as well as third-party service providers.

* Intake Management:
Process and action "Tip Call" information received from the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC).

* Evidence & Research:
Access investigative databases to perform research and maintain strict control over evidence and proprietary documentation.

* Background Investigations (BI):
Manage the BI process, including limited internal investigations and coordination with Ford Recruiting, Labor Relations, and external vendors.

* Technical Support:
Assist with technical security surveys and the installation and maintenance of surveillance camera systems.

* Legal Knowledge:
Apply expert-level understanding of local, state, and federal laws and regulations relevant to corporate security.

* Communication:
Deliver effective verbal and written communication to internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the company.

* Problem Solving:
Utilize analytical skills to identify key issues and recommend optimal solutions for complex situations
