Salary: $27.87 – $32.74 Hourly

Location: 301 Bush St., Mason, MI

Performs maintenance and repairs on equipment from minor service to major engine repair, performs welding and fabrication of materials to make necessary repairs, analyzes breakdown, changes tires and/or blades, and other duties as assigned.

• Performs maintenance and repairs on equipment from minor service to major engine repair using all tools of the trade, including but not limited to precision instruments, welding equipment, shop machines and power tools.
• Performs complete diagnosis of any mechanical, electrical or other breakdown or failure to motorized equipment. Changes ties and other equipment as needed.
• Performs welding and fabrication of materials to make necessary repairs.
• Disassembles, overhauls, repairs and re-assembles engines, transmissions, differentials, clutches, brakes, electrical systems and fuel systems to motorized equipment or related equipment.
• Submits parts order requests through the Purchasing Department. Charges parts and materials from the stock room, maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Other Functions:
  Performs other duties as assigned.

Education: High school diploma or its equivalent.

Experience: A minimum of four (4) years of experience in the truck mechanic trade is required.
