Supervisor, Underground Construction

As an Underground Construction Supervisor, you will oversee Vermeer horizontal/directional drill rigs and plows, DCI F-5 locating equipment, and other equipment supporting a major telecommunications infrastructure project. You will be in direct contact with the manager of underground construction to maintain efficient production.

• Experience:
  
  at least three years of drilling/locating experience, underground utility construction experience, and telecommunication installation construction experience. Clean driving record.
• Education:
  
  High school diploma or GED.
• Technical
  
  Skills:
  
  Knowledge of city, county, and state clearance codes; able to read and understand maps, drawings, and diagrams for projects.
• Abilities:
  Able to read, write, and speak English to communicate with employees, customers, suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications. Able to read and understand blueprints and communicate in a clear, straight‑forward, professional manner.
• Skills:
  
  Strong communication, ability to motivate others, excellent leadership skills.
• Travel Ability:
  Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record; travel 80% of the time to complete projects at different sites.

• Experience:
  
  at least five years of horizontal drill experience, practical working experience with underground construction and equipment for both conduit and fiber installation.
• Education:
  
  OSHA safety certifications, operator qualifications, ClassA CDL, valid driver’s license.
