Electrician

Job Summary

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Electrician/Maintenance Mechanic provides electrical and mechanical support for machinery and equipment such as motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment by performing the following duties.

• Install electrical systems and components and support the building of new machinery.
• Visually inspect and test machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions and dismantle devices to gain access to problem areas.
• Repair and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems on CNC Machines.
• Design and build machine control systems.
• Maintain, upgrade, and install electrical systems within the facility.
• Troubleshoot and repair machine controls.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• 3 to 5 years industrial maintenance experience or experience in a specialized trade or skill set.
• Basic knowledge of PLCs.
• Ability to effectively communicate with others.
• Must be able to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Demonstrated mechanical and mathematical aptitude.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently with little to no assistance.
• Possess advanced knowledge of hydraulic and electrical concepts.
• Ability to identify root cause and solve problems.
• Demonstrated good housekeeping practices and 5S principles.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to safe working behaviors including lockout, fall protection, confined space, and mobile equipment operation.
