Pay Range: $50-$65/hour on W2 (All-inclusive)

Position DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Lead with deep expertise in Java and Spring Boot to join our dynamic Order Management team. Our existing team comprises strong functional and technical experts in IBM Sterling OMS. This role is pivotal in elevating our code quality, fostering technical excellence, and guiding our team in modern software development practices. You will serve as a hands-on mentor, driving best practices, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions
Responsibilities- Provide hands-on technical leadership in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices to deliver high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
- Mentor and guide the development team to adopt modern software development practices and improve code quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on architecture, design, and implementation within an Order Management context (IBM Sterling OMS).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of progressive software development experience with a strong focus on Java and Spring Boot; familiar with multiple JDK versions including JDK 21 and above.
- 3+ years in a Technical Lead or Senior Software Engineer role with leadership and mentoring responsibilities.
- Proven expertise in designing, developing, and deploying microservices-based architectures using Spring Boot.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, specifically Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services (e.g., Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage).
- Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., Postgre
SQL, MySQL). - Experience with RESTful API design and development.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
- Experience Preferred:
Experience with ecommerce and order management platforms/solutions; familiarity with messaging systems (e.g., Pub/Sub, Kafka, IBM MQ); experience with performance tuning and optimization of Java applications in a cloud environment; knowledge of front-end technologies (e.g., Angular, React) is a plus.
