Senior Software Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a Contract role with a client in Dearborn, MI (Hybrid). This is a hands‑on senior engineering role focused on Golang‑based CLI tooling and Dev Ops pipelines to improve developer productivity and automate testing/resource reservation for Phoenix, ECG, TCU, and SYNC
4. The ideal candidate brings deep experience building developer infrastructure—not just application features—and can drive CI/CD, observability, and platform reliability at scale.

Rate Range: $65/hour to $74/hour

The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

• Design and implement features for Golang‑based command‑line tools and developer utilities.
• Develop and execute unit, integration, and end‑to‑end tests; maintain a robust automated test suite.
• Write clear technical specifications for new features and improvements.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
• Contribute to process improvements, CI/CD pipelines, and toolchain upgrades to maximize developer velocity.
• Provide application support with a focus on reliability, observability, and proactive incident prevention.

• 8+ years total software engineering experience.
• 8+ years production Golang (CLI/Dev Ops/API focused).
• Proven track record building developer tooling and automation pipelines.
• Hands‑on expertise with:
• GCP (including Cloud Run) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
• Docker (security‑focused containerization best practices)
• API design (REST/gRPC, security, lifecycle)
• Application Development, Support, Testing at scale
• Sonar Qube or equivalent static analysis tooling and CI/CD integration

$65.00 to $74.00 per hour
