Software Engineer - Contract
Akkodis is seeking a Software Engineer for a Contract role with a client in Dearborn, MI (Hybrid – 4 days onsite per week). This role is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications across the full stack, participating in the complete software development lifecycle, and building high‑quality, scalable solutions that meet customer needs. The ideal candidate will have strong full‑stack engineering experience, along with advanced Mule Soft development capabilities (preferred).
RateRange
$65/hour to $74/hour; the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Software EngineerJob Responsibilities
- Engage with customers to understand use‑cases, pain points, and requirements; advocate for user‑centric solutions.
- Solve complex problems by designing, developing, and delivering software using multiple tools, frameworks, languages, and Agile methodologies.
- Assess application requirements and determine optimal technology stack, integration methods, and deployment strategies.
- Create high‑level software architecture designs, defining structure, components, and interfaces.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including product owners, designers, architects, and other engineers.
- Define and implement software test strategies, guidelines, and processes aligned with industry standards.
- Continuously improve performance, scalability, and development efficiency; adopt new technologies where beneficial.
- Apply programming best practices including TDD, CI/CD, code reviews, and automated testing.
- Implement security best practices, including encryption, data protection, and anonymization.
- Strong Mule Soft software development experience, including design, development, and testing of application integrations using Mule ESB.
- Ability to translate business strategy into technical specifications and delivery roadmaps for Mule Soft integrations.
- Expertise in developing RAML‑based RESTful APIs and SOAP services in an SOA architecture.
- Experience building custom components, connectors, and transformers in Mule Soft.
- Strong proficiency developing flows in Anypoint Studio and integrating with APIs, databases, and GCP databases.
- Hands‑on experience with Mule Expression Language (MEL) to access payload, properties, and variables.
- Ability to collaborate closely with Salesforce administrators, developers, and business analysts.
- Experience translating business capabilities into conceptual and technical models.
- Comfortable working autonomously and within cross‑functional Agile teams to achieve business outcomes.

Pay Details$65.00 to $74.00 per hour.
