Responsibilities
- Initiate JIRA tickets and interface with the IVI software product owners/developers for resolution of issues, ensuring timing supports program milestones.
- Perform initial triage analysis of bug reports, logs, and CAN data to expedite issue resolution.
- Serve as IVI feature expert on program‑specific content, feature operations, and end‑of‑life (EOL) configurations.
- Drive resolution of software‑related issues and collaborate with cross‑functional teams on root cause.
- Provide onsite plant support for functional audits and EOL issue resolution; gather data and lead troubleshooting and analysis of all IVI software issues.
- Manage onsite IVI loose stock and vehicle‑on‑wheels software reflashes to support builds at the plant.
- Manage module software pedigree and deliveries from build to print supplier to support program build timing.
- Champion software release documentation and approvals for IVI software‑driven changes.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical or Computer Software).
- 3+ years of Electronics Module Software Design & Release Engineer experience;
Ford experience a plus. - Experience with module hardware or software release processes.
- End‑of‑life module configuration and DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) issue resolution experience.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with cross‑functional global teams.
- Working knowledge of engineering software management tools including JIRA, VSEM, SMPSN, and SWAD databases.
- Vehicle‑level testing and software validation experience.
- Experience interfacing with fleet issues and troubleshooting vehicles; IVI background a plus.
- Excellent analysis and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience with automotive networks such as Value‑CAN, Vehicle Spy, and CANalyzer.
- Experience with software re‑flash tools/processes.
- Excellent project management and communication skills.
- Experience with Ford project management tools FEDE‑BOM, FEDE‑DV, WERS, and CDRs.
- Cost analysis skills beneficial.
- Periodic travel to different plants across North America for launch support.
- Experience with automotive technologies such as Bluetooth, USB, Wi‑Fi, Apple Car Play, Android Auto, and/or voice recognition.

This position is a salary grade 7‑8.
