AboutThe Role
The Loyalty Production team is made up of 5 individuals across three regions (US, Mexico, India). Team members work independently as well as together on project work.
Responsibilities and ImpactThe Software Engineer will own, support, investigate, audit, analyze, and evaluate production processes and their related outputs. The Software Engineer will also assist in the design, development, implementation, and support of new or migrated production processes. The Software Engineer will possess strong conceptual and critical thinking, analytical skills, collaborative work behaviors, and communication skills.
- Design, plan, develop and test new solutions that meet customer’s business needs.
- Prepare data and programs to produce cyclical and ad-hoc customer deliverables and reports.
- Prepare program specifications and diagrams and develop coding logic flowcharts.
- Translate business specifications and designs into language-coded programs, procedures, or scripts.
- Interpret and use computer operating systems and interface tools to code, compile, test, run, and debug programs (e.g., PLSQL, Windows, etc.).
- Liaise with internal teams (e.g., developers, Sales and product managers) to identify system requirements. Gain an understanding of how the end customer uses the data within their business.
- Take assignment of customer raised issues and investigate, document, and resolve the problem.
- Create complete project documentation to include job steps, input/output files, flowcharts, parameter definitions, job prerequisites, interfaces, operational instructions and troubleshooting information.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years’ related job experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Advanced language skills in modern programming or scripting languages used for automation or data processing.
- Familiar with source control and code repository platforms.
- Understand connections between platforms and how to move data between them.
- Proficient in accessing data within Oracle databases using tools such as Toad or SQL Developer.
- Proficient in creating visualizing and analyzing data using tools like Excel, Power BI or Tableau.
- A general understanding of the automotive business is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of SQL/PLSQL experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- System Development experience.
- Information systems or related field experience.
- Anticipated base salary range: $70,000 to $90,000. Final base salary will be based on geographic location, experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.
