Employees in this job function are responsible for designing, developing, testing and maintaining software applications and products to meet customer needs. They are involved in the entire software development lifecycle including designing software architecture, writing code, testing for quality and deploying the software to meet customer requirements. Full‑stack software engineering roles, who can develop all components of software including user interface and server side, also fall within this job function.
Responsibilities- Perform requirements gathering, business analysis, fit gap analysis, system testing, documentation (FDD and TDD) and end user training.
- Review and analyze business processes.
- Collaborate with business, IT and implementation partners to identify ERP scope.
- Assist with gap analysis of the as‑is design and development of the to‑be functional design.
- Analyze integration requirements and work with legacy non‑SAP systems.
- Create use cases, user stories and other requirements/specifications artifacts.
- Provide functional specifications and work with software engineers (ABAP, PCF, Fiori).
- Conduct and support testing on SAP platform – functional, security, integration, user acceptance.
- Provide SME expertise in the business processes for source‑to‑pay for global design in automotive industry and create a roadmap.
- Support cutover, data profiling, extraction, cleansing activities.
- Perform configuration.
- Production support of launched functionality.
- SAP S/4 HANA
- Ariba
- Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP)
- Experience in engineering: three years experience, proficiency in two coding languages or advanced practice in one language; six+ years in IT, 4+ years in development.
- Experience in automotive/manufacturing industry.
- Relevant SAP certification.
- Experience with Fiori implementation.
- Knowledge of Ariba sourcing.
- Familiarity with ABAP.
- Bachelor’s Degree
