Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the aforementioned worksite. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance from the worksite. Develop C/C++ application layer software for Ford's SYNC infotainment system. Develop Java/Kotlin application and background services software for Ford's SYNC infotainment system. Investigate and resolve issues in Android OS Framework.
Implement graphical user-interfaces using QML / Qt Quick. Integrate APIs / SDKs that provide services for: media, phone, navigation, and speech recognition. Integrate support for mobile devices:
Android Auto, Apple Car Play, and Smart Device Link / App Link. Participate in system design, documentation, and testing to deliver a best-in-class infotainment system. Analyze, root cause, and provide fixes for defects found in all stages of development.
