Software Engineer, Senior Developer

Highly experienced Senior Software Engineer required for the Vehicle Invoicing and Drafting Application, a mission‑critical Mainframe legacy system with COBOL, JCL, DB2, and advanced file handling. Candidates must have 10+ years of solid technical experience and proven technical leadership.

• Assist with enhancement/new development projects, including research, analysis, functional and technical specifications, formal testing, and deployment.
• Triage and resolve production support issues while planning small enhancements.
• Assimilate into the existing global team and maintain accurate system documentation.
• Adhere to coding standards and security policies.
• Engage in technical discussions with application and interface teams.
• Navigate new, complex technical situations (e.g., SAP/S4) and bridge legacy mainframe systems with modern technologies.
• Build relationships with colleagues, including software engineers and product owners.
• Lead and guide small teams through complex technical situations.
• Possibly transition to SAP after the decommission glidepath (2 years or less).

• Senior Software Engineer with at least 10 years maintaining complex legacy code.
• 10+ years of COBOL development.

• Experience with Agile methodology and Jira.

• Bachelor's Degree.

• COBOL, DB2/UDB, CICS
• JCL, batch processing, mainframe systems
• Advanced debugging and root‑cause analysis
• Aggressive problem‑solving and mitigation strategy development
• Strong communication and teamwork
• Knowledge of SAP/S4 or similar technology is a plus.
• Experience with Agile software development and Jira.
